Garage Sale Gold: Old School Coffee Pot

This coffee pot is one of my favorite objects in my house. I purchased it at a garage sale from a really sweet old woman and now I use it every day. Here are the reasons why I love it.

1. It cost me 2 dollars,

2. yet it works better than any other coffee pot I have ever owned.

3. It's design is simple, clean

4. and it is easy to use. There are no complicated buttons, levers, or timers like I have seen on new age coffee pots. This product is very straight forward, simply plug it in and flip the switch.

5. The size of the pot itself is just right for my needs. 1.5 cups for me and 3 for my roommate.

6. The lid on top of the pot twists on and off and at the half way point will produce a steady stream of coffee when poured. There has been minimal spillage with this pot, and I will admit...I am a spiller.

7. The handle fits nicely into my hand, it is not too big or too small and it does not become hot to touch.

8. The handle also has a little slide that shows if the particular pot of coffee is decaf or regular. Who drinks decaf?!

9.. I love the fact that I am not the first to use this machine. Its dated design and slightly tattered appearance gives it personality. It also matches my old house and all my old tattered kitchen appliances.

10. I can use any size and shape of coffee filter I have on hand or find around the house, and it will still work just fine.
